Bloody hell folks have we got some water. Too much by a mile and this seriously limits where we can fish. Back waters, canals, marinas (don’t forget to ask permission) and lakes that can be got to without wading up to your k——s in water.

I don’t have to tell you that high water can be seriously dangerous so take extreme care.

We have been fishing the Shannon Erne link and catching plenty of small silver fish plus pike up to around 12lbs in weight. Lough Bran is producing roach at 35 yards plus on the feeder. Fish it fine enough and you will get a bite a cast. You may have to wait an hour or so for the first bite but once you get a bed of bait down the sport is pretty good. More after the weekend on where to fish.
